BEFORE YOU COME: Supplies & Facilities

All your confirmation information is sent to you by the agency you booked with and will include the address, access via the keybox outside the front door, when you can arrive (usually after 3pm) and when you need to leave (usually by 10am). Please contact the agency with any queries. If you arrive by car, you can choose to park on Limethwaite Road in front of the house, or at the back via the dirt track road where you will find a dedicated parking space to park 'at your own risk' due to potholes. The key box is at the front of the house. The patio door opens with a thumbscrew lock and there is a key on a hook on the sitting room wall on the left by the 3-D map if you need to lock/unlock from the outside. The track has potholes so please be aware you are using it 'at your own risk'. Residents and visitors have not reported any issues.

Supplies: All the bed linen, towels (bath towel, hand towel and bathmat) and tea-towels are supplied. In both bathrooms there is hand-made soap. In the kitchen there is tea, coffee, ugar, salt, pepper, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and other cleaning items. We do not provide any additional edibles or milk to reduce waste caused by all of us having different tastes and dietary needs. There is a small, well-stocked corner shop two minutes walk away on Limethwaite Road (open daily 7.30am-9pm) as well as three bigger supermarkets in Windermere. We do not leave any perishable items like milk or bread.

In the kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped for you to enjoy cooking. There is a five-ring range with two ovens and grill. An extra toaster is in the cupboard. The main undercounter fridge is in the kitchen and an additional countertop fridge is in the utility room; you are welcome to turn it on if you wish to use it.
There are tea-towels, and oven glove and all the usual cleaning products.  The table seats 4-5 and opens out if you're having a feast ;-)
There is a blue-tooth enable r
adio/CD player in the kitchen.
The ironing board is in the cupboard under the stairs as well as the hoover.

In the utility room: Here's handy space for all your outdoor gear. The washing machine is at your disposal, with an eco-egg in the cupboard. Poles for the outside line and pegs are here, as well as broom, mop, iron etc. Here you will also find dog bowls and poo-bags if needed.

In the sitting room: You'll find plenty of guidebooks, maps and leaflets to help you explore the area. There's a series of circular walks straight from the house too. There's a few games and other books for you to enjoy. And of course a big TV with all the usual smart TV facilities plus Netflix and Amazon Prime all set up; some people log-out of our set-up so please bring your own sign-in details in case needed. The wifi router and connection info is near the TV. As well as the radiators, there is a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy.

In the bedrooms: The hairdryer is in the cupboard in the middle room. All bedlinen is supplied as well as two pillows per person.
There is also a handmade Running Hare soap for you.

In the bathrooms: There is one large and one small towel each; changed and washed at high temperature between guests. Please do not use bleach products on them, thank you. Two toilet rolls per bathroom are supplied as well as a j-cloth and cleaning products.

OutsideThere is an enclosed garden with patio, table and chairs as well as a covered bench seat. There are two loungers and a parasol for the table in the shed. This large, lockable shed is also at your disposal for bike storage.  There is a private space to park your car behind the house, accessible on a dirt track with some pot holes, so parking is at your own risk (no reported problems). You can also park on the street on Limethwaite Road.

Running Hare is adjacent to Queen’s Park so perfect for mini walks, dog walks and a really well-equipped children’s playground is in the far corner including a bike track and skateboard track.
