EATING IN and OUT

Staying at Running Hare you can choose to shop for food locally to cook in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, order take-aways or eat out in Windermere or Bowness-on-Windermere, without needing a car. Help yourself to herbs from the garden for cooking and herbal teas: mint, sage and chives.

Here is a list of local food shops, all within a few minutes walk of the cottage, the furthest being Booths which is about 15 minutes; it has a large car park.
